How to play Meme Party
A game takes only a room code, a microphone, and friends willing to sound ridiculous.
1. Create or join a room
The host opens the iPhone app, creates a room, and shares its four-letter code or invitation link. Invited guests can open the link or enter the code on memeparty.online.
Browser guests choose a display name and character. No account is required. Creating a room is deliberately reserved for the app.
2. Hear the reference sound
At the start of each round, the room hears the same short reference. Listen for its timing, pitch movement, energy, and length. You do not get a rehearsal take.
3. Record one imitation
When recording starts, reproduce the sound into your microphone. Submit before the timer ends. A silent or nearly silent take receives zero.
4. Playback and scoring
Each submitted take is played back for the room. The scoring system compares the recording with the reference, awards a score from 0 to 100, and adds the round points to the scoreboard.
Technical requirements
Meme Party needs microphone permission and a stable internet connection. Current Safari and Chrome are the primary browser targets. Headphones reduce echo and usually make the game easier to hear.
