Meme Party audio privacy

Recordings score and play back the current round. A limited private selection with player feedback may also be kept to evaluate scoring. Manage contributions in Profile. We do not transcribe speech or identify voices.

What is uploaded

When you submit a game take, the audio file is sent to the Meme Party server together with the room, round, and player identifiers needed to process that take. The player identifier belongs to the temporary game session.
A training take is also uploaded for scoring, but it is not played back to other people.

Why the server processes it

The server decodes the audio, extracts melody, spectral texture, rhythm, energy, duration, and tone features, and calculates a score. During a multiplayer round, the submitted file remains available long enough for the other room members to hear its scheduled playback.

When recordings are deleted

Multiplayer takes are deleted from server storage after the round playback finishes and the next round starts. All remaining takes are also deleted when the game returns to the lobby or when an abandoned room is swept after its inactivity window.
Training recordings are deleted immediately after scoring finishes, including when scoring raises an error. They are never retained for a training playback.

Optional score improvement samples

Audio contribution is enabled by default, explained in Profile and this policy, and can be disabled in Profile for future recordings. Only selected rated samples are retained privately with the reference audio, scorer version, score and feedback, for up to 90 days. There is no live model training or automatic score change.
The collection is capped at 300 audio pairs, 30 per meme and 256 MB. Up to 2,000 feedback records also expire in 90 days. Delete contributions from this device in Profile; clearing app data removes your local deletion receipts, so contact support if those are lost.
Pass the Phone deletes its scoring upload immediately; a take is uploaded again only if contribution is enabled and the group rates its score. Online samples use the existing game upload. No feedback means no learning sample.

What is not done

The scoring pipeline does not run speech-to-text, create a voiceprint, or train a model from submitted takes. Meme Party does not claim that an audio file is anonymous while it is being played to people already present in the room.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can other players hear my recording?

Yes. A submitted multiplayer take is played back to the current room as part of the game.

How long is a training take stored?

Only for the scoring operation. The server deletes the file in a cleanup block immediately after scoring completes or fails.

Does Meme Party use my voice to train AI?

Selected rated samples may be kept for offline scoring evaluation and calibration, unless you disable contribution in Profile. No model trains during your game.
